PNE type phenolic epoxy resin YLEP-638 is a multifunctional epoxy resin synthesized by the condensation of a phenol-formaldehyde novolac resin with epichlorohydrin. Its structure is characterized by multiple functional groups and high cross-linking density. This results in performance properties that include excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, and high mechanical strength. Consequently, it is primarily used in applications demanding high temperature stability, chemical resistance, and superior mechanical strength.

YLEP-638 is a semi-solid phenolic novolac based multifunctional epoxy resin. The high viscosity of this resin render it to be used as it is and invariably it is used in solution form or by blending with other lower viscosity epoxy resins. YLEP-638 can be used alone or can also be blended with other conventional epoxy resins to improve the chemical and thermal resistance characteristics. It exhibits better retention of chemical, mechanical and electrical resistance properties at elevated temperatures. It is widely used in fields such as electronic copper-clad laminates, electronic laminates, heat-resistant adhesives, composite materials, high-temperature resistant coatings, civil engineering, and electronic inks.
